Meg the Schnauzer

Meg the Schnauzer

Meg the Schnauzer

We rescued Meg from Fort Worth Animal Care and Control after a concerned citizen dropped her off there. She was covered in maggots and ticks, both of her corneas were perforated, and her packed cell volume was 5 (our doctor described this as “not compatible with life”). She is in critical condition but getting excellent care.

9/10/19 Update:

She is improving, eating on her own, standing and walking, but still receiving treatment for the ulcers on her corneas.

Charlie Survived a House Fire and Getting Shot in the Face

Charlie survived a house fire in Cresson that killed Charlie’s owners and all of their other pets.

Someone also shot Charlie in the face with a pistol several years ago, and he’s been repeatedly attacked and badly injured by other dogs in the past.

Charlie’s had it rough.

Fortunately, we were able to give him the medical care he needed, clean him up, and find him a home less than a week after he came to us!
