Hassal: Former Livestock Guardian Rescued From Korea

former livestock guardian
Hassal, which means “sunshine” in Korean, will be arriving at Animal Hope after a 14-hour flight from Incheon International Airport on 2/28. Hassal was a livestock guardian dog, protecting chickens from predators, but according to her rescuer: “Hessal’s owner wanted the dogs to keep his chickens from wild animals. So the livestock guardian dogs were always getting wounded. Now that Hessal grew up, his face is not cute, the owner wanted to sell him to the butcher. Su-An (Jasun’s rescuer) persuaded the owner to surrender him.”
