Puddin Returns for Her Second Round of Heartworm Treatment
Speaking of adoption returns and lifetime commitments, Puddin had a medical issue when she originally came to us (heartworms). When we adopted her out she had received heartworm treatment and was in great body condition. When she was brought to FWACC as a stray this month (her adopter elected not to reclaim her), she was both once again heartworm positive, meaning she would once again require treatment, and she was also so obese she has mobility issues. While that is a frustrating outcome, we are thankful that she’s back and that we will have an opportunity to get her in a home that takes preventative care seriously.
