Donut – Left Front Leg Amputation and Left Eye Enucleation

Donut - Left Front Leg Amputation and Left Eye Enucleation 1Animal%Rescue
Donut came from Dallas Animal Services, where he landed after being found as a stray.  Wherever and however he had been living, it had been hard on him.  He was missing his left eye, and had radial paralysis of his left forelimb.  Despite all of that, he was still a pretty happy dog.

Because Donut was also cryptorchid (meaning he had undescended testicles), he required a total of three surgeries… abdominal surgery to neuter him, enucleation surgery on his left eye, and amputation of his left front leg.  These surgeries were expensive and outside of our normal medical budget.
